There is no NSAID in it, so ibuprofen fills a gap rather than duplicating anything. The real cautions sit elsewhere: the NyQuil label warns against taking it with other products containing acetaminophen and against drinking alcohol, and doxylamine causes marked drowsiness. So no Tylenol on top, no drinks, and no driving. Ibuprofen itself is easier on your stomach when taken with food or milk.
