Alcohol has no known interaction with aflibercept injection, so moderate drinking is usually fine unless your eye doctor tells you otherwise. Aflibercept is injected into the eye and works mostly in the eye itself, so it does not behave like a pill that your liver has to clear alongside alcohol. The day of the appointment is the part worth planning around, because dilating and numbing drops leave your vision blurry for hours and you need a clear head and a safe ride home. Alcohol also makes it harder to judge whether post-injection soreness or floaters are settling normally.
