What is a yellow fever card?
Last updated September 3, 2026.
The yellow fever card is border proof for affected regions - one lifetime dose at a designated center, valid ten days after the shot. Countries that require it can deny entry without it.
What to do
- Check your destination page - CDC lists requirements country by country.
- Get it at a designated center - only their stamps count, per CDC.
- Mind the ten-day validity gap - three days before departure does not count.
- Contraindicated: ask for the waiver letter - a doctor can issue it.
