What is the difference between Mounjaro and Zepbound?

Same drug, different jobs: both are tirzepatide, a once-weekly injection, but Mounjaro is FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes and Zepbound for chronic weight management (plus obstructive sleep apnea in people with obesity). The active ingredient is identical, so the side-effect profile is shared. The two brands are prescribed for different goals and are not interchangeable.
