Methodology
Sources. Medication prices are the listed prices on the Cost Plus Drugs price list, last checked October 11, 2026, shown per 30-day and 90-day supply. Lab test prices are the rates published in the CMS Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule, 2026 Q4. Visit and imaging prices are the rates in the CMS Physician Fee Schedule, October 2026 release. The CMS schedules are Medicare fee schedules; they are used here as published reference points for what healthcare costs before insurance markups.
What a price means. Each number is the price from its named source on the date stated. It is a reference price, not a quote: the cash price a specific pharmacy, lab or clinic charges you can be higher or lower, and you should confirm before you buy. Medication prices are real selling prices from the source pharmacy. No price on this page includes a consultation fee, because the Pymander AI doctor consult is free.
Updates. Prices are refreshed when their sources update: the CMS schedules update quarterly and annually, and medication prices are re-checked against the Cost Plus list. The date each category was last checked is in the table above.
What the dataset is for
Most people without insurance, and many with high-deductible plans, have no way to know what a medication, blood test or scan should cost before they are standing at a counter. This dataset exists so that the price question has a public, checkable answer. Each of the 1,078 items also has its own page explaining what it is, who it is for, and what it costs: browse medications, lab tests, imaging, visits, or per-drug cost guides. If you are not sure which test or visit your situation needs, the free AI doctor can help you sort that out by text before you spend anything.
