In short

Give an AI doctor the same details you would give a clinician: when it started, how it has changed, what you have tried, and your medications.

The more specific you are, the better the answer, and the better the care note you can bring to your own doctor.

Questions about using an AI doctor well? Ask our AI doctor - a straight answer in plain language, free, 24/7. Start a free consult Free · Private · 24/7

Start with the main problem and the timeline

Say what is wrong in one sentence, then when it began and whether it is getting better, worse, or staying the same. "Sore throat for three days, worse today, with a fever" gives much more to work with than "my throat hurts."

Share what matters medically

Mention your age, any ongoing conditions, allergies, and the medications and supplements you take, including over-the-counter ones. Say what you have already tried and whether it helped. Pymander keeps your history so you do not have to start over each time.

Answer the follow-up questions

A good AI doctor asks follow-ups the way a clinician does. Short, honest answers matter more than long ones. If you are not sure, say so.

Know when to stop typing

If you have chest pain or pressure, trouble breathing, stroke signs, a sudden severe headache, heavy bleeding, fainting, a severe allergic reaction, or thoughts of harming yourself, call 911 or go to the ER now. In the US you can also call or text 988.

Take the care note with you

After a consult, Pymander sends a care note summarizing the conversation. Share it with your own clinician so they do not have to rebuild the story from scratch.

Common questions

What should I tell an AI doctor?

Say what is wrong, when it started, how it has changed, what you have tried, and your age, conditions, allergies, and medications.

Should I share my medications with an AI doctor?

Yes. Medications and allergies change the advice. Include over-the-counter drugs and supplements.

Can I send a photo or lab results?

Describe or share what the service supports, and ask it to explain the result in plain language. Always confirm important results with the clinician who ordered them.

What is a care note?

It is a summary of your Pymander consult that you can share with your own clinician.

When should I not use an AI doctor?

For emergencies. Call 911 for chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke signs, a sudden severe headache, or heavy bleeding.
